OUR MISSION

Welcome Collective provides essential material and psychosocial support to people holding precarious immigration statuses in Montreal. The majority of our clients hold the status of refugee claimant, meaning they have fled their country of origin due to persecution and are requesting protection in Canada, an essential right under international law.

Welcome Collective mobilizes both longtime Montrealers and newcomers to come together in a space of community and empowerment and to advocate for equitable settlement processes for newcomers to Canada.

OUR Vision

We aspire to live in a society that welcomes newcomers with open arms, regardless of their country of origin, language, or ethnicity. Our vision for Quebec recognizes the unique and invaluable contributions of refugee claimants and categorically rejects any infringement upon the rights of its most precarious residents.
